The awesomeness of chapter 418 made me remember why I love fairy tail so much! Sure it has problems with friendship powerups in mid combat or cliche villains once in a while. However the sheer joy I got when seeing Natsu as a badass, lucy also doing her best and then the two of them meeting again after a year
was just spectacular. Sure it might not be the craziest plot ever but it warmed my heart and I guess that is what Fairy Tail is about. So yeah, sure I will complain again in the future about some of the fights and all the random friendship power-ups but the story has more than enough heartwarming moments to make up for that.
