I suppose it's time for an update with the project that I've taken on. Now that it's spring break I actually have time to work on it and the will to do so. I'm working on figuring out what hair would be good to use for the different lengths for the women now, after that I'll work on the eyes then I'll be done with the female 3d portion (still a lot of work to be done in Photoshop though).

Glad to hear you have some free time again, brobb355 If you don't mind, could I steer you in an easier direction with regards to the project?

You've likely seen the Horo version I have online right now. I would like to do the same process, but with other characters to get the hair lengths.

We start by selecting a base from https://www.imouto.org/post?page=1&tags=vector
Isolate the character, and scale to a transparent background 200x200 image.
Isolate the eyes, save to a transparent background 200x200 image positioned perfectly where the original eyes are.
Repeat for hair.

Use a "like color" select tool to select the hair color / eye color, then use a "colorize" tool to create the 12/13 colors.

Update on the hair/eye color project:

I'm almost done cutting out hair and eyes and will begin coloring them when I finish. I don't much like working on some of the smaller pics but I'll get over it.

Slow, there are a couple pics that I originally picked out where the eyes were either closed or too small to work with (even in 400% magnification, which I've been working in) and I want the same characters for some of them... but others I'm going to have to find new characters for and that hasn't been too easy, that and I haven't had much time to commit to the project over the last week. I will continue albeit it will be slow over the next four weeks as classes are starting to pick up speed in prep for finals.
