Mitsugu Mouryou’s Anime Review
Bakeneko: Uhhggg! This was bad… so-so plot, poor translation, and very poor animation. In fact, the animation was almost exclusive to the eyes and mouths. It was more so a semi-animated graphic novel/webcomic. As if that wasn't bad enough, the character designs were so poor they looked like they were done by a drunken troubled child off their meds. I found it to be so bad that I could only find one redeeming quality: it was only 3 episodes long, unlike the others that were 4. That being said I must give this a -2.0 (out of 10) just glad it’s over with, and will not view again. Thank you MMAR11 |

Yotsuya Kaidan: Takes place in episodes 1-4, and is well told(narrated) by the playwright who wrote it. I liked this format, it kept things interesting. Though the plot was a bit predictable, there is a good deal of suspense, and cummupins dealt. I would give it a 2.2 (out of 10): Ok to watch once, but not worthy of regular repeat viewing. Tenshu Monogatari: is from episodes 5-8, and is my absolute favorite of the 3. What can I say I enjoy a good romantic tragedy… especially when the entrails of the ignorant are spread all over the local landscape. The story is well set up, and the background folklore is quite well written. The plot has several twists, plus the antagonist is a jerk you truly love to hate. I enjoyed this tale though it was far too short for my taste, I will give it a 3.7(out of 10) worthy of repeat viewing, but too brief for background noise. Thank you MMAR10 |
