Hi, love the site but would love some more clearer UI.

For instance once I have favourited a character on the character profile page. I have no way knowing if I have favourited it or not (other than the number going up) Another visual indicator would be nice like changing the colour of the icon.

Another change I'd like to see is when I'm doing general browsing it'd be nice to know if the character is favourited or not. Maybe a have yellow boarder around the image or something to that extent.

Also have a quick way to favourite and like characters whilst you're searching. Maybe have a star and heart icon next the name of the character or over the image in the bottom right.

Also be able to create your own categories in the favourites section. For instance I want to create a dark-skin category and place all my favourited dark-skin characters in there easily.

Edit 1: Have instances where you have separate entries for the same character. For example; Shinbou from Monogatari has several different forms, I'd like to be able to favourite her adult form (Kiss-shot). Another example is Maria Naruse, she has an adult form that I would like to favourite separately.

I'd greatly appreciate if you could make some mock-ups, or even something as simple as a screenshot of another website with a little explanation what you'd like to see brought here.

It's also helpful for me to know specifically which pages ( links help ), and what locations ( screenshots help ) you are thinking about.


That said, all the ideas you've shared sound to me like that'd be a welcome improvement to the site. ^^ I should be able to start with the points you've made about favorites, as that is clearest to me.

As for organizing favorites - this is where I'd most like to see a mock-up. There's all sorts of ways I could do this, so I'd appreciate your help picking the best approach.

I'll need to do something about "other versions of this character", I'll see if I can add another section to character profiles.

Organizing Favorites ... now that is either going to take writing 500-1500 lines of code, or updating 660 lines of code from a project many many years old now. If I take that on, you may have to save any other ideas for July or later in the year. or someone could Sponsor it
