Reworked where audio files for quotes are stored. Putting them all in /audio/ was great until there were over 100,000 files. Now they are split /audio/pid/epid/*.mp4

Turns out a few episodes never got uploaded.

I'll likely have to do the same for images next. Probably going to do a % rand() after deciding how big of a hash …. Maybe 1024 isn't such a bad number.


I'm looking at reworking the front page into 3 editions.

1. Visitor edition with a general introduction to the site and things that don't require an account to use.
2. Member edition with a working rework of Daily widgets.
3. Admin edition with very easy access to mod queues.

Been slowly indexing quotes for around 2 years now, and here we are at 500 episodes indexed and 174488 quotes!

There was a server crash around 2AM, still unexplained.

The audio files for this episode were to be uploaded around the time of the crash. The server may have been down before the upload - so this could be completely unrelated.

I'm left wondering if I need to do some sysctl turning, ZFS tuning, rent another server, switch to Linux, when will the next crash be. I've automated the steps to bring ACDB back online and put them into a script to run on boot. Should there be another crash, the site should automatically come back online within a couple of hours.
