Who is this?

Watching Danmachi 5 at the same time as this series, it's hard not to notice to extreme differences in protags.
Bell's not making much progress 5 seasons in, while Michio goes all the way in the first few episodes.
Bell's closer to a righteous, kind and caring hero. Meanwhile Michio's borderline villain.
