For those interested, I'll share a little on what has been going on.

For every feature I have made that could indicate a character's popularity, there have been highly motivated fans that would use any means available to them to boost their character to #1.

When it was Character View Counts, someone would refresh the page hundreds of thousands of times.

When it was character of the Day/Week/Month they'd nominate the same character over again over, and use multiple accounts to make sure they'd always win.

The Bleach war, has taken things to a whole new level. A particular fan, from time to time, would register well over 100 accounts in one shot. Even though I have systems in place to limit people to one registration per day, one account per email, 3 accounts per IP .... this person has had no problems getting around all that. Their usage of fake email addresses particularly irks me. Pro tip: just use a crc32 hash @example.com rather than potentially valid email addresses. It bothers me when innocent people are victimized by someone registering an account to their email address. ( Than again, bounced email addresses bother me just as much. Find someone with a catch-all, and abuse their domain. lol or better yet, get your own domain and setup an email system )

Anyways, you might wonder ... what are we going to do about this?

Bleach sorta peaked by Season 3 for me. After rescuing Rukia the first time, the plot just seemed to be reused too many times.

Are there many people watching Arslan? I'd seen the promos for it after some episodes of The Seven Deadly Sins, so figured I'd check it out.

As it has a fairly complex story, you need to give it a few episodes to lay the ground work from which the story builds on.

@Ryuu, it seems to me like you've completely forgotten about the original Erza.

Have a look at Fairy Tail Book 3, and try to say that about her again. ( and book 6, and book 12 )


I know the current Ezra in the recent FT manga, and S2 of the Anime is just painful to watch. The original Erza, is Hiro Mashima's greatest character creation. There's more depth to her character than Shiro - by far.

An orphan, forced to work on island building a tower. Her one and only friend betrays her, casting her off the island under threat of killing all her friends if she makes any effort to save them. She loses an eye. And experience such pain she can't even cry anymore. The old man who cared about her most, before he died protecting her, reveals he's a member of Fairy Tail. Erza leaves the Island, and finds that Guild.

Even her last name has such a great back story. As an orphan, she had only her first name. The boy she was destined to be betrayed by, gave her the last name Scarlet, for her scarlet red hair.

In Fairy Tail, Erza is one of the strongest wizards. She has the role of maintaining order, and justice. She is the role model all members of Fairy Tail strive to be worthy of. She is feared, yet caring and loving.

She goes beyond yandere, beyond tsundere, she is goddess incarnate. Beautiful as she is benevolent.


Compared to Erza, Shiro's nothing more than a loli with a high IQ and fast reflexes.

The Pokemon franchise as we have indexed, has 980 characters. 180 of them were carefully assigned to the manga.

Our moderators have worked extremely hard to accurately index the extreme number of characters that are in Pokemon.

We're just a small team, and don't have the time or resources to read every page of the manga verifying one by one every single character.

You are welcome to help. You need only inform a moderator of which characters do not appear in this title, and we'll be happy to make the changes.

As for the names, Pokemon doesn't quite fit in our naming system. Most games and anime use the Japanese name. Whereas Pokemon has Japanese names, English names, and nicknames. The author/manga-ka of HxH has a habit of of making nearly every character you want to be female, male. There's enough references in the manga that she is male in the manga .

But, I'm firmly in the camp that she was made female for the anime audience. She was given a Female Voice Actor, and animated with a female figure. (view post)

While Gon had an extremely powerful aura, it was quite limited. Meruem has an aura every bit as powerful, and his is limitless.

From what I could see in Gon's fight against Pitou, his Janken was no where near the powerlevel of the Rose Bomb.

Remembering the beginning of Kamidori Alchemy Meister, Wilfred Dion has to hire bodyguards to help him collect ingredients for his alchemy. Playing the game without bodyguards, Wilfred would likely die many times. Whereas Edward Elric is extremely powerful on his own. The first episode was a little rough, but after watching the 2nd ep I'm addicted to this series! It seems to have elements of a lot of recent magic themed anime's.

The plot is something like .... 16 years ago the world was split in two. One world is inhabited by humans and another only by magic users.

Three high school students in the human world have their magic awakened by a pureblood magic from the other world while she was in the human world chasing her brother. She takes them back with her to the other world where they enroll in a Magical Academy. (view post)

Lisanna is a less bold less powerful version of her elder sister. But she's also less familiar, and lesser known.

And Mirajane is one of the strongest mages in FT, and certainly a strong competitor for most hot mage.
