Grim Scythe sniffed. He hoped that he wouldn't be kept too long. He wondered why he was even there. He sat down anyway, reading a random book, the title being That One Random Book. He tapped his foot in a random rhythim.

Frank's attention was drawn away from his companions by a raven-haired beauty sitting by himself and reading a book. A smile crept over his face. He did enjoy a challenge. He put his hand up, effectively shushing his friend's endless chattering.

"Santa, you're boring me, he said, grinning as he heard his friend huff in indignation, "Oh, you're only jealous because I saw him first. Early bird get the worm and all. I'll see you boys later."

He extricated himself from the clutches of his friends and smoothed out his suit before striding over to where the man was, ignoring the cursing coming from the Italian at his table. He sat down in the seat beside the man without asking permission and flagged the barkeep.

"Must be an interesting book to have you so thoroughly engrossed in it," he said, flashing a charming smile at the man. "Let me buy you a drink and you can tell me all about it. My name's Frank, what shall I call you?"

Grim Scythe sniffed. "Vampires..." he grumbled. Then, he looked around. All the sudden, someone started to cause a riot. "Lunis! Behave!" Grim Scythe hissed. The dude stopped rioting. "It's Master Lunis," the guy said, dissapointed. Grim Scythe just ignored him. He scratched his neck.

Frank tried to calm himself down but was more than a little flustered that the man already knew he and his companions were vampires. If he could sweat, he would have been doing so. Was the man a hunter? How else could he have known...? He smoothed down his jacket nervously and tried yet again with the man. If he whipped out a stake, he would skedaddle. Hunter or not, he couldn't be that fast.

"Ah, pardon me, I didn't quite catch your name there," he said, his smile still firmly in place as he leaned closer. He looked to the barman as he was patiently waiting for him to order. "Two vodka on the rocks, please. Put it on Santana's tab."

He shot his friends an angry look as he heard them all laugh at his miserable failure to pick up. He snarled and turned his attention away from them, not needing the distraction right now.

Grim Scythe caught the dude's anxiousness. "If I were a hunter, you would already be dead. I just know. Okay?" he sighed. "It's Grim Scythe... Or Grim..."

He smiled. At least he had got the man talking. That was always the first stage. Next, it was drinks. He slid the other vodka rocks towards Grim as he sipped his own.

"Grim? What an unusual alias you have," he moved his seat a little closer to the man. "So, tell me, what's such a handsome man like yourself doing all alone in a bar?"

"And anyway you did good playing along with my very unhilarious bit of humor about you being a--- oh, what am I doing? For some reason someone called me here, don't know who... wait...? The questions seem to be a bit quick, and you just jumped into conversation with me. Nothing odd going on here, right?" he said suspiciously. Usually, people avoided him and talking to him except when needed.

Frank reached up to loosen the top button of his shirt. The night was still young, and this one could take a while. He took another sip of his drink and looked the man right in the eye.

"You haven't even touched your drink, perhaps I ordered you the wrong one." Just a little bit longer... he thought to himself. Men were always a little wary of him at first, but he always got his prize in the end. He was a very persistent man.

"Ah, mon cher, no need to be so agitated. I was just so captivated by you I couldn't stay away," he said, adding a hint of his French accent as he spoke. "You have such exotic eyes, are you new to the area?"

Grim Scythe shook his head, still a little tense. "Nein, my son lives in the area." he said.
