Anime Characters Database (ACDB) was launched in April 2007 by Stephen Goral with the simple idea of helping fans identify anime characters by their visual traits. What began as a hobby project is now a thriving, community-powered platform visited by fans all over the world every day.

Our Mission

Our goal is to be the internet’s best destination for discovering and cataloging anime and game characters using what you remember: how they look, act, and sound. We combine detailed filters with user-submitted data to help you find your favorite characters fast—and maybe discover a few new ones along the way.
