I'm sorry for posting a pretty scrubbish question, but is there a way to increase/remove the limit cap? If not, then are there any future plans to increase the limit cap for the waifu/husbando claims? I feel like 90 might not be enough as more and more anime titles and series (with more and more appealing chars) gets created/released in Japan, especially over the span of a decade or so.

As of now there is no way to increase the cap on waifus/husbandos. In my opinion, 90 is pretty generous. Mai Waifu is supposed to be a feature where you fight with other members over your MOST favorite anime characters, not EVERY character you've ever liked (there are favorite buttons for keeping track of ALL the characters you like). I've seen hundreds of different anime and I was still able to narrow mine down to 31 characters. Some people were claiming 300+ characters right off the bat when Mai Waifu was first implemented, which most of us thought was ludicrous. That's why we put a limit in place.
TL;DR We'll see in the future. It's a pretty new feature right now. :P ![]() |

I think this is my favorite feature on the site. Granted I haven't been here in a while, so I probably don't know about a lot of features, but it's pretty great.
^^^Is probably wrong^^^

The biggest problem i have with the waifu/husbano feature i have at the moment is not having a confirm button when pressing "Remove".
It's quite annoying, especially on mobile where misclicks are prone to happen. |

I can definitely see your point and I already counted in the abuse factor as well. But what you do not see right now is that despite, yes, you would only consider the TOP 90 chars that you absolutely love to fight over and I'm sure one's taste and choice could fluctuate over time and thus ultimately change their endgame waifu/husbando lists, but what about factoring in the people who could love more than a handful of chars for more than just a mere decade, that there are some chars that have become timeless to some people, that some people could cherish for a long time? Perhaps even until the end of time? And also you are kinda forgetting of the fact that Japan just keeps releasing tens upon tens (probably even bordering hundereds) of animes, mangas and novels/light novels per year. And let's not even talk about if those works are harem genres, has huge lists of chars, or is a growing franchise. And I haven't even mentioned the tons of games, VN's, Galges/eroges/nukiges that they also release, which we also include in this site (since technically they do count if they are anime style based). Not something to absolutely pay heed. Just my 2 cents is all. I'm already grateful for this feature and also think 90 is not too bad of a cap at all. It's just that I think it could possibly matter somewhere 10-20 years down the line, seeing as how Japan just keeps cranking em out of the wood works, like McD's cheap hotcakes
^This, so much this. I accidentally booted 2 waifus off my list in that fashion myself. If you guys could perhaps add a confirmation like rpgguy suggests or perhaps move the remove button further away from the mai waifu button? And perhaps a different color than just yellow? Like maybe a red color to signify "warning, danger Mr Robinson"? [ Edited Apr 8, 2017 ] |

One thing you could do is increase the uh decay of how much they like you with each passing day as the number of them goes up.
