I think you should add a series type to the series details and such. Like if something is an anime, it should mention that its an anime, or a game should say its a game, and so forth. So people aren't left wondering weither the character they are looking at is from an anime or something else when they look at the series that it is from.

This is something we have started working on. It has been assigned a very low priority, and will likely be live in the database next month.

We don't. lol That's what's holding up the process...

It's no big deal to flag the Clannad game as a Game, and the Clannad Anime as Anime... the problem lies in searching only anime characters, or searching only game characters. I've considered a lot of options, and I don't like any of them, so this feature is on hold for the time being.

Actually when I mentioned it, I hadn't really thought of searching for characters in just anime or just games, I was more concerned with simply looking at a series and being able to see that its not an anime but a game without having to go look the series up. Though then again I don't always think of all the aspects of something. lol

Long as you're happy with the search features, it's all good. Hmm... a quick way to tell if the character is from a game or anime... if the ID is between 1 and 7500 there's a 95% chance it's from a game. If it's higher than 7500, there's a 50% chance it's from an anime series.

One way that I've sort of been able to figure out if the series is a game or not is whether the "homepage" link has an age warning when it's followed, I also look at the outside link sometimes.

Haha, I've used the same trick myself. Alright - sorting out the games and animes has become a higher priority. Gleaming through some 1500 items is a bit of a daunting task for me.... I could use the help of a fellow otaku who can easily tell anime from games.

We'll use a script that shows a game/anime, we click "Anime" or "Game", then it shows the next one until they're all done.

I'm thinking tomorrow I'd like to finish this off. Tomorrow being Saturday March 8th.

You have a link for a list of every series you have on the ACDB right? I could probably look at that and jot down the numbers for the anime series that I know. You should also look at it Mystaira, you probably know at least a few animes that I don't.
