After fighting many monsters, Teacher, the main protagonist, ends up in a difficult situation.
Due to ending up stuck in magic absorbing sand, and ending up incapable to move his body with telepathy for weeks on, Teacher can do little but to wish fervorously for a wielder to save his life and give him purpose as a sword, and in a fateful event, he and Fran crosses paths.
