Did you know, Anime Characters Database uses Free Open Source Software? It runs on Apache, lighttpd, MySQL, PHP and OpenBSD. Our development server also runs OpenBSD, Apache, lighttpd, MySQL and PHP. Our development computers run Linux in a KDE environment using SSH for remote modifications. Anime Characters Database exists entirely in a *NIX environment.

Images are gathered using KSnapshot. All code is written by hand from scratch using various simple text editors like vim, emacs, kate, gedit, kwrite and echo.

Anime Characters Database is not OSS. You may however request to see the source code. We are under no obligation to provide you with code, as we retain all rights. Legally speaking that is. Actually we're pretty good at sharing code. Just ask, and you might get a text version of the .php file.
