Rei Miyamoto (宮本 麗, Miyamoto Rei) is a classmate and childhood friend of Takashi Komuro, and they've known each other since kindergarten. When they were little, she promised that one day she would marry him. Despite liking Takashi, their relationship was at odds at the beginning of the story due to his indecisiveness. It was then that she started dating one of his friends, Hisashi Igou, since Takashi wouldn't make a move. As the story progressed, they ended up reconciling their relationship. She doesn't find it above herself to reprimand Takashi for acting carelessly. She worries about his well-being yet admits that his selfless nature is a reason why she fell in love with him. Headstrong and reliable, Rei has proven to be a skilled combatant and strong asset to the group due to her being in the Sojutsu Club. She uses a spear made from a broom stick, but later on she uses a M1A1 Rifle with a bayonet attached. Rei Miyamoto is a 17 year old high school second-year. Originally, she was supposed to be a third-year, but a teacher by the name of Koichi Shido had Rei held back a year. Rei's father, a police detective, was conducting an investigation on Mr. Shido's father, a politician. Shido got Rei held back as a warning to her father to stop the investigation of his father. As a member of the Sojutsu club, she is very skilled with a spear. At the start of the series, she was dating Hisashi, which was both Takashi's and her childhood friend. She started out having a bad friendship with Takashi, but their relationship is later amended. She has had a deep intimate feeling towards Takashi since they were children, and they even pinky promised to get married when they grow up. Rei gets immensely jealous when other pretty girls such as Saeko Busujima get close to Takashi. She is a valuable member to the group as she is one of their top fighters. |
