Rikuo Nura is 3/4 human and 1/4 youkai. He is the grandson of Nurarihyon and Youhime and the son of Wakana Nura and Rihan Nura. Due to having youkai blood in his lineage, Rikuo has two forms: one in which he takes a human form, and another where his youkai blood takes over and he becomes a full youkai. The former is frequently called his "day" form, whereas the latter is called his "night" form, as originally he was only able to maintain it during darkness. Rikuo was originally reluctant to accept his youkai blood and his role as the successor to the Nura Clan because he was teased at school for talking about youkai. As he ages, he realizes he has the ability to protect both humans and youkai because of his heritage, and acknowledges himself as the third leader of the Nura clan. Rikuo has officially exchanged sakazuki with Zen, Kubinashi, Yuki Onna, Jami, Kappa, Kurotabou, and Aotabou. |
