The protagonist of Infinite Stratos. He is a first year student at the IS academy. His older sister, Chifuyu, is a legendary IS pilot. The siblings were abandoned by their parents at a young age and Ichika was raised by his sister. Ichika has a habit of personally assessing the situation with interior monologue as well as being easily guessed on what he is thinking. As the first male IS pilot, his new reputation has made him somewhat famous. He pilots the Byakushiki IS. He is also fairly dense as he doesnt realize the feelings of those around him even though they show it very well.
