Kahoko is in her second year (Gen. Ed.) of high school. She attends Seiso Academy which comprises of the General Education department and the Music department. In the anime: Kahoko was late for school in the morning. She ran past the school gates and encountered Lily, the fairy. In the manga: She was walking along the corridor when she saw Lily and panicked. Being Gen. Ed. student, she was chosen as one of the few participants in the school's concurs. As to what instrument that she plays, Lily gave Kahoko a magical violin that plays beautifully on its own without having the one who holds it being able to know how to play the violin. Playing the violin comes from the heart and Kahoko usually delivers her music well. In the anime: The magic violin's string broke and the magic was gone. In the manga: The magic violin was just a test creation by Lily until the magic wore off and became a normal violin. All the male contestant has a crush on Kahoko, though I doubt if Keiichi's one of them. The two violinist, Kahoko and Len, soon develop feelings for each other although Len's cold personality sometimes annoys her. SPOILER ALERT!!! Manga: Kahoko and Len grew closer as the story is told; especially during a trip to the fun fair. At the end of the story, Kahoko heard the sound of violin; Schubert's Ave Maria, being played. She ran towards the melody, on the top of the school building, opened the door and embraced Len. |
