Like Pu Cheng, Gai Huang is a retainer who always aided Jian Sun, Ce Sun, and Quan Sun, and in the Yellow Turban Rebellion, the sweep of Jiangdong to subjugate Zhuo Dong, the Battle of Red Cliffs and such, in all of them she greatly contributed to military gains. Gai Huang has super masochistic tendencies, and in the Battle of Red Cliffs when she was tortured by whipping, it didn't influence her in battle at all. Rather, being all cut up made Gai Huang even bolder than before. Even Ning Gan, who was known to be brutal, got a real feeling that she wasn't violent enough herself when she saw her.
