In the end he is killed by the king and sent to "hell" where he becomes confused, scared, and lost. When the spider sends its thread down from heaven for Kandata, he pushes all of the "others" away so he can be the only one to climb out. However, his greediness pays the price and the thread snaps while the spider turns away.

He appears in the story "The Spider's Thread" otherwise known as episode 11.
