I have not watched Hetalia so I do not understand what's so great about it. Anyway I think L should win the CotM if I must be a fanperson.

You're pissed that Finland is beating L? Well, Hetalia's fanbase is more popular than Death Note's fanbase. Of course Finland would have more votes.

And I could also add it's impossible to blame the fangirls… This year, 10 of the CotMs were female characters… only one was a male (Canada).

I don't approve everything with the CotM/CotW system (esp. because of fanbase problems, and in that extent I don't know how to consider your sentence Feli), but this is an election … so you can vote for L, but no one will theorically predict that he's gonna win.
