The main character. A kind, energetic and goofy red-head who wears a pair of distinctive big, round glasses. His father is a ninja and his mother a mostly retired kunoichi, and he entered the Ninjutsu Academy to become a ninja himself as well. However, his dream is to become a first-rate ninja instead of a mostly unemployed one like his father. This might be a difficult goal to reach, since like the rest of Class 1-Ha he's easily distracted and mostly focused on goofing off and having fun together with his best friends Kirimaru and Shibei instead of studying.

As a member of the famously unlucky Health Committee, he's often the victim of bad luck of all kinds.
