Monika has emerald green eyes and waist length copper hair. She wears her hair in a high ponytail, tied up by a white ribbon. She wears a school uniform made up of a grey blazer, a brown vest, a red ribbon around her collar and a royal blue pleated skirt. She also wears black thigh-high socks and white shoes.

Monika is the president of the Literature Club in the free Visual Novel game "Doki Doki Literature Club" in which she fights for the player's heart alongside three other girls named Sayori, Yuri, and Natsuki.
