　絵羽の夫です。恰幅がよく邪気のないつぶらな瞳と和ませる人柄で、右代宮家においてとても貴重な人物です。
　戦時中の空襲により身寄りを全て失い、焼け野原からたったひとりで立ち上がり、事業を成功させて財を成した苦労人です。その境遇から、まだ猜疑心に凝り固まっていなかった頃の金蔵には非常に気に入られていたといいます。
　また、身寄りを全て失ってしまった悲しい経験から、婿養子となって迎えられた右代宮家を新しい親族としてとても愛しており、甥や姪たちにも深い愛情を注いでいます。その為、小遣いの振る舞いもよく、親族の子どもたちからも深く慕われています。
　営業上、相手に名前や印象を強く残したいという思いからだと本人は自称しますが、関西弁をオリジナルに解釈したヘンな言葉遣いをします。ただ、本場関西の人の前では恥ずかしいらしく、標準語に戻すようです。その不思議なキャラクターは、本人をこの上なくユーモラスに見せてもくれますが、エレガントさに欠けるという中傷もあり、彼の本来の成功を正当に評価されない一因となっているのではとの指摘もあります。
