Learning an additional language is always a good idea, I think. Not only because it's useful like brobb said, but also because it makes you think more about your own language. In my case, I was already bilingual before I started learning Japanese, but exploring a language so vastly different from my own has really opened my eyes. Not to mention that now I can watch anime unsubbed and read/play books and visual novels in Japanese (which was my inspiration for choosing Japanese as a third language in the first place).

That is another reason why I wish to learn Japanese. Nothing is worse then playing a game that you grow to love, but you never know what they are saying. ><;;
