As of today, our visual search is going to start expanding in a new way.

Additional images of characters can now be indexed by moderators and included in the visual search.

Previously, if a character had an alternative appearance, it was necessary to add them as a duplicate character with different traits set. Leading to some 2000+ duplicates.

It's a problem that has only been growing. And now we have the means to begin addressing it.

You may see duplicate characters being removed, as some can now be merged in with the original as additional images.




From the Edit Images, there will be an indication if the image has been Indexed, or is available to be indexed:



Following the link will bring up an Edit Character like dialog, prefilled with the original character's details, or the current record from the additional image:



Finally, anything using the cached search results table, will show the additional images:
