Story
The setting is 'Hope's Peak Private Academy', a government-authorized school of privilege established to gather and train the top high school students in all fields.

Makoto Naegi, the protagonist, is an extremely ordinary student who has also been permitted to enroll at this school, which was established to nurture 'hope' for the future of the country.

He was the only 1 selected by lottery to attend, from among the average students, as the Super High School Level Lucky Student.......

On the day of the school entrance ceremony, Makoto passes out in the entrance hall, and when he wakes up, he finds himself locked inside of the school.
The atmosphere was gloomy, far from the name 'Hope's Peak Academy'. In the dingy hallway, the windows were covered with iron bars, creating a feeling of oppression like a prison.
......Something was wrong. At the entrance ceremony, Monokuma, who calls himself the headmaster of the school, begins to talk to the students.
＂Your life from now on will be confined to the inside of this school. If you want to go outside, you'll have to kill someone.＂

Including the protagonist, Naegi, there are 15 super high school students from all over the country who are trapped in this school of despair.
A number of incidents shatter the relationship of trust between the students. Despicable class trials. Who is the mastermind. What are their true plans.......

The battle against an invisible enemy is about to begin.
