	Yuki Age: 11 Class: Kunoichi class A clever, mischievous girl who's the daughter of a well-off family, Yuki originally enrolled into Ninjutsu Academy to learn some manners and discipline. In the manga she's rather cool and aloof, but her portrayal is a bit different in the anime where she comes across as lively, bright and energetic. She loves playing pranks and often springs them on Rantarou and his friends. Usually seen together with her friend Tomomi in the manga, and as a trio with Oshige in the anime.

	Shige Ookawa Age: 11 Class: Kunoichi class A student in the kunoichi class who only appears in the anime, where she's Shinbei's girlfriend and the granddaughter if the Headmaster. A well-mannered, polite, kind and easygoing girl who's quite agile despite her plump figure. She's close friends with Yuki and Tomomi, and usually the mediator among them whenever they get into fights.

	Shuichirou Hama Age: 13 Class: Year 4, Class Ro Committee: Equipment Committee The descendant of a ninja family that served a castle that fell in battle 70 years previously. He initially learned ninjutsu from his great-grandfather before transferring into Ninjutsu Academy as a fourth year student. He's very enthusiastic and easily excited, and will burst into laughter at even the corniest, unfunniest jokes. As such, he's one of very few people to honestly find Andou's bad jokes and puns funny.

	Heisuke Kukuchi Age: 14 Class: Year 5, Class I Committee: Explosives Committee Preferred weapon: Suntetsu A smart boy with good grades who also serves as the substitute chairman of the Explosives Committee, which doesn't have any sixth year members. However, he's best known as the "tofu kid". Not only is tofu is his favorite food, he also has a lot of very detailed knowledge of anything tofu-related, and in the anime also makes tofu himself.

	Tomesaburou Kema Age: 15 Class: Year 6, Class Ha Committee: Equipment Committee chairman Aggressive, hot-tempered and with a strong fighting spirit, Tomesaburou really likes brawling and always jumps at the chance to take on strong opponents. "Let's fight!" is something of his catchphrase. Because of this he is dubbed the upperclassman who "likes to fight" by the underclassmen. Often squabbles with his rival Monjirou from I-class, who has a similar love for fighting. Since his roommate is Isaku, whose bad luck is so strong it influences people close to him as well, he often ends up suffering from bad luck as well.

	Shuusaku Komatsuda Age: 16 Job: Ninjutsu Academy Secretary A clumsy, bumbling secretary at Ninjutsu Academy, he really wants to become a ninja himself but as he has no talent for the job he's had to settle for an office job instead. Unfortunately his skills at office work aren't much better, and his work is full of mistakes and blunders. His one unfailing skill is spotting intruders trying to sneak in and students trying to sneak out and getting them to sign the entry or exit registries.

	Shinbei Fukutomi Age: 10 Birth Place: Sakai Class: Year 1, Class Ha Committee: Equipment Committee A kind and friendly boy who's the son of a rich merchant, Shinbei quickly became best friends with Rantarou and Kirimaru at the beginning of the series when they all entered Ninjutsu Academy together. Not the fastest of thinkers, and as he loves to eat he's rather pudgy as a result. He's unusually strong, however, and has an amazing sense of smell that's stronger than a dog's - which he usually uses to sniff out food. His constantly runny nose is his trademark, and since his snot is extremely sticky he often uses it as a weapon.

	Kirimaru Settsuno Age: 10 Birth Place: Settsu Province Class: Year 1, Class Ha Committee: Library Committee An orphan who entered Ninjutsu Academy to become able to make a living as a ninja, he's been best friends with Rantarou and Shinbei ever since meeting them while enrolling. Since he lost his family to a war before the start of the series, he's been making a living working several part-time jobs. Entering the academy hasn't changed this, and he still works several jobs on the side and has earned the nickname "Genius Part-timer". He has a great head for business, an even greater love for money and is very proud to call himself an extreme skinflint. He can also make out the sound of dropped coins from great distances and will instantly take off in the direction of the sound whenever he hears it. Since entering the academy, he's been staying with Doi-sensei during school holidays.

She can possibly invade anything that uses electricity and gives her all in doing things that Shintaro hates. Regarding eye abilities. Was once a human by the name of Takane, but lost her body after being poisoned. As a human she was a classmate with Haruka Kokonose. She entered the Heat Haze, was possessed by the Opening Eyes snake, and uses it to reincarnate herself as a program. Fate Only in the novel and anime timelines, she is brought to her original body by Kano. After re-entering it, she is able to move from her original body to electronic devices and vice versa.
