Ah...okay...well anyway, if there is an anime that has be redone but it still has the same name and I want to add the newer version and all the characters, what should I do?

Good question! And I have a new answer....

First step is searching, make sure the series you want to add isn't already in the DB. If that's good, use the Add Title tool:

To make an ID for the series.

So far so good?

In the side menu, click Assign Mode

Now, for each character... load up their profile, click "Select"... load up the newer version you want to add them to, and click "Drop".


That should do it! I'm sorry it's just a trial system... I keep looking for ways to do this better. If you or anyone has a better solution, I'm listening.

I was also thinking of doing the reverse.... starting the process at the anime/game level. That way, you could load up each character in a new tab, and click one button there, rather than the seemingly 3 step process per character I've got now.

Okay, so it's fine if I get rid of the old pictures? And also, I guess the newer series is sometimes called Umineko No Naku Koro Ni the Animation whereas the old one was just called Umineko no Naku Koro Ni

Make the new season. Upload the new characters + images to it. Do not use the assign mode for this.

Might seem like duplicates to some, but they're not. Different animation studio. Slight changes in character design. Always is, when you go from a game to anime.
