Hideki Motosuwa, an 18 year old from the countryside that excitedly waits for his acception into Tokyo University, but he's floored to find out he has been rejected.
Deciding to take preparatory classes, Hideki still heads to Tokyo, and arriving in the big city he finds out that androids called Persocom are actually really popular and very useful.
Being a poor jobless university reject, Hideki can only wonder about all the wonderful things he'd be able to do with a persocom.
On his way home from the convenience store he ends up finding a corpse in the trash, but upon inspection, as if his wishes became true, it is actually a ＂free＂ persocom, and he decideds to take it home.
