Greetings, everyone! Today, continuing with the cosplay theme, we have a very special cosplay indeed, for those of you who really want to get into the culture:
Cat Girl Maid Outfit
Just like in Japanese Maid Cafe, you can become a maid and a catgirl with this deluxe set of cat ears, cat tail, and matching maid outfit! This cute black and white loli dress was modeled after the cosplay worn in the Maid Cafes in Akihabara, where customers are treated like royalty. It's a perfect piece of culture to bring to you events! You can now become a loli maid yourself, but with the added spark of also being a nekogirl with this fantastic costume. An excellent idea for an upcoming anime convention, costume party, or Halloween.
And now for Cirno's Perfect Trivia Class!
The answer to yesterday's question is: The Japanese introduced school uniforms in the Meiji Period, when Japan began to modernize its old traditions. At first, the uniform consisted of a simple kimono, worn with a wraparound skirt, or hakama. But later, the uniform was redesigned to follow a more military tradition, with boys donning a smart Prussian-style uniform, and girls adopting blouses with sailor collars, worn with pleated skirts.
Today's question:
Where did Japanese Maid Cafes start?
If you would like to submit your answer you can send it to cirno@animecharactersdatabase.com, or send me a PM. I will give you the answer tomorrow.

Welcome back to another cosplay addition of Cirno's Stuff of the Day! Today our cosplay gets more into actual Characters: Eru Chitanda from Hyouka! If you just love that Japanese school girl look, then you've found what you're looking for.
Even if Eru Chitanda is not what you have in mind, there is almost no better cosplay than the classic school girl. This set comes with the navy blue skirt and the white top with navy blue ribbon. It's just like you see in anime! If this year you are stuck on what to do for Halloween or you have a cosplay event that leaves you stranded with no ideas, there is no need to panic. Just go for the infallible plan B; the Japanese schoolgirl look never gets old! It's cute, classic, and convenient, great for any anime event. You can even accessorize with some shimapan for a nice effect.

And now for Cirno's Perfect Trivia Class!
The answer to yesterday's question, submitted by Kana-sama: Despite its taxonomic classification as a carnivore, the giant panda's diet is primarily herbivorous, consisting almost exclusively of bamboo. However, the giant panda still has the digestive system of a carnivore, as well as carnivore-specific genes, and thus derives little energy and little protein from consumption of bamboo. Its ability to digest cellulose is ascribed to the microbes in its gut. The giant panda is a "highly specialized" animal with "unique adaptations", and has lived in bamboo forests for millions of years. The average giant panda eats as much as 9 to 14 kg (20 to 30 lb) of bamboo shoots a day. Because it consumes a diet low in nutrition, it is important for it to keep its digestive tract full.
Today's question:
Where do Japanese school uniforms originate?
Remember, if think you know what the answer is you can send it to cirno@animecharactersdatabase.com, or send me a PM. I will give you the answer tomorrow.
