| The impulsive half of the "Minimum Holder PI duo" along with his partner Murasaki. He is constantly broke for money, partly due to the fact that he doesn't care about the cost of a job request more than what it entails. He is a bit absent minded at times with little regard for whatever situation he is immediately in such as when he tries withdrawing cash during a bank robbery with armed thieves. Despite his seemingly carefree nature, he is a genius thinker and able to quickly assess information. Being a Minimum Holder, Nice possesses supernatural abilities of "seeing" sound. This ability most likely allows him to manipulate sound. In order to use his ability, however, Nice must place his headphones around his ears. Sound Manipulation: Nice is able to perceive sound, which may allow him to manipulate it. How he uses this power offensively remains unknown. His Minimum has been classified as the Sonic Minimum. Nice is the top graduate of the academy for Minimum Holders. His very existence is classified. |

| Age: 14 While wandering about as a spirit, Yukine was picked up by Yato and made into a Shinki. When called "Sekki" he transforms into a katana. He died at a young age, making him miss his normal life as a middle schooler. He acts like his age, and was once stealing money from people with the excuse that it's okay since he's dead. After being "saved" by Hiyori, he becomes more obedient and respects Yato and Hiyori. In a katana form, he finds Yato's sweaty hands so disgusting that he calls him "Drippy." |

| "Gods can do anything they want. Including hurting someone... Or taking their lives." Yato is a god who attempts to build his own shrine. He wears a jersey and so-called fluffy scarf and refers to himself as "Yato God" (Yatogami). When his current Shinki (Divine Weapon) quit, he was unarmed until he met Hiyori and Yukine. He calls himself "delivery god" and often puts his own cell number on several common places in case someone needs his help. He usually charges for 5 yen, what Japanese people usually give when praying at a shrine. He used to be a feared God of War, known as the "God Of Calamity." Bishamon despises him for killing Toma, her Shinki, that she vows to take vengeance for. Kofuku affectionately calls him "Yatty." Somehow, he has another Shinki whom he calls 'Nora' however he is very reluctant to use her for some reason. |

The son of a famous artist, his family recently moved to Hinamizawa after a violent incident event involving him in their hometown. His charisma and remarkable talent for rhetoric, which earns him the nickname "Magician of Words," allow him to easily make new friends and become popular in the village, not to mention win some of the club activities. Early in the story, in the Onikakushi-hen arc, he is affected by paranoia. When he is in need of a weapon, he wields Satoshi's old baseball bat. It is later revealed in the story that before arriving at Hinamizawa, he grew weary of school and was the perpetrator of a series of crimes involving shooting children with a BB gun. |
