Conserning the "yandere" tag on Kurumi, it's true that she is not. However, there is another archetype that represents Kurumi: "yangire". It's basically a character with the same psychotic/demented personality with a cute appearance, BUT their motivation is NOT love.

Ofcourse I meant removing the "yandere" tag from Kurumi´s profile, not her traits because that is something totally different lol.

As for the anime it is indeed a very entertaining show (I watched it three times, I haven´t read the light novel though)
And I agree, that protag definitely has a hard time making up his mind considering the girls in the series.
It´s a little bit annoying but yet amusing in a way, because he seems to need a lot of help to make any progress with them lol.

Then maybe the "Yandere" tag should be removed from Kurumi´s character traits and maybe be replaced with a tag like "Psychopatic", "Bloodthirsty" or "Cruel" instead or something like that, because she is not really a "Normal, daily life" girl in this anime.

no, NOOOOOOOOOOO nonononono. I did not see you mention Kurumi's "yandere" mode.
Kurumi is not a yandere at all, she has shown absolutely zero Yandere behavior throughout the show. No obsessive behavior towards protag, jealousy/murderous intent to other girls for being with the protag. None of that.

However she is a nutjub psycho that loves killing, but since her killing has nothing to do with romance it is not Yandere. Otherwise we'd have to call every killer a yandere. ( Aizen from bleach, Blackbeard from One Piece, the killer of Bambi's mom etc ) on the Kurumi note, she is my favorite character by far and the voice acting done for her character is beyond amazing.

Also concerning the show itself, very entertaining watch. I've rewatched it multiple times and read part of the light novel and would still rewatch it some more times

Date a Live is one of my favorite animes. (among a lot of others)
There is plenty of humour, action and some really cute girls. (even though a few of them might be a little scary sometimes, like Kotori´s spirit form and ofcourse Kurumi´s ruthless yandere mode)
But that´s pretty much what I like in anime when it comes to these types of girls. (I probably have a death wish... just kidding lol!) (view post)

I´ll just finished watching this anime and it was pretty cool. It´s kind of a violent and bloody murder mystery mixed with some occult stuff. It also has some interesting characters and a few scary girls with supernatural powers. These girls will probably give you some chills from time to time. By that logic, there are lots of Disney movies that need a PG-13 rating. MAL has it listed as "All Ages", and AnimeNewsNetwork reports "No Objectionable Content". Unless you have some specific examples that would give it a T rating, I think "Everyone" should be fine. (view post)

The awesomeness of chapter 418 made me remember why I love fairy tail so much!
Sure it has problems with friendship powerups in mid combat or cliche villains once in a while.
However the sheer joy I got when seeing Natsu as a badass, lucy also doing her best and then the two of them meeting again after a year was just spectacular. Sure it might not be the craziest plot ever but it warmed my heart and I guess that is what Fairy Tail is about. So yeah, sure I will complain again in the future about some of the fights and all the random friendship power-ups but the story has more than enough heartwarming moments to make up for that. I was looking for a drama anime in my archives (I got tons of animes that I still haven´t watched yet on my computer) and found this one. It´s a sad and emotional anime that probably will bring some tears to your eyes. But it´s a good one if you like drama. It´s about how to deal with the loss of someone very close to you and how to overcome the sadness. It actually made me cry a little (I´m not kidding) I really like animes that can touch your feelings, and this is definitly one of them. (view post)

hehe, Kirito was holding back quite a lot against her in the light novel. Also even though Kirito is in general a better fighter when taking things seriously you are correct about her being faster, or well at least her reaction time since even Kirito himself stated that if she was in SAO the double sword skill would have gone to her.

Now, this game looks interesting! The characters is based on gods from the norse/scandinavian mythology.
