I've added a few characters where their eyes are obscured, by a mask, a visor, or just eyes closed, and are never shown in the anime. When I have to choose an eye color I feel sorta lost, so I think a "eyes obscured" option would be really good.

What to do when the eyes are not visible ...

I've used a few approaches, let me know which one seems best:

1) Try to guess the eye color.
- If the character has blonde hair and is a foreigner, there is a high chance blue is their eye color.
- There is a about a 5997 to 18908 chance the eye color is the same as the hair color.

2) Find an image where the eye color is shown
- Sometimes if you look closely at all images on a promotional web site, you may find a background image, promotional image, screen shot, video, or something where a glimpse of their eye color is shown.

3) Use the color of whatever is covering their eyes
- If it's a black hood, choose black.

Hm, but all that said... the goal of ACDB to be the most useful Visual Search engine, and that means easily finding an answer to Who's This Character. Adding the option of "eyes obscured" would help a great deal in improving accuracy. I mean, if we can't find a shot with the character's eye color visible, then odds are good whatever image someone has that they are looking to identify wont either.

So, should I add the option?

If it's not too much trouble a new option would be helpful. I feel awkward putting the eye color red because the character's mask has 3 red dots in the eye area. As for the three options: Sometimes I have no trouble finding alternate pics with the eye colors, but other times there is just no way of finding one. I also feel like guessing the color isn't a good way to go because there are many fantasy anime with random eye colors. I think the third would be best, though I've been trying all three when I run across this problem.

New eye color option has been added! "Not Visible". Also added the same for hair color, previously "-", now "Not Visible".

Hopefully it'll appear everywhere it should. If you find a page lacking the Not Visible option, let me know.
