Noboru Maeda

Maeda Noboru, age sixteen, nicknamed Suppon (Turtle). He has been detained for theft, con, dine-and-ditch, and many other crimes which could not be fully investigated during his detention.

Maeda is one of the seven protagonists in RAINBOW. He is the smallest guy in the group and the most cunning in the team. Other than An-chan, he seems to get along with Jou best, most probably because of them being same aged and both being orphans.

Rikuo Nura

Rikuo Nura is 3/4 human and 1/4 youkai. He is the grandson of Nurarihyon and Youhime and the son of Wakana Nura and Rihan Nura.

Due to having youkai blood in his lineage, Rikuo has two forms: one in which he takes a human form, and another where his youkai blood takes over and he becomes a full youkai. The former is frequently called his "day" form, whereas the latter is called his "night" form, as originally he was only able to maintain it during darkness.
Rikuo was originally reluctant to accept his youkai blood and his role as the successor to the Nura Clan because he was teased at school for talking about youkai. As he ages, he realizes he has the ability to protect both humans and youkai because of his heritage, and acknowledges himself as the third leader of the Nura clan.
Rikuo has officially exchanged sakazuki with Zen, Kubinashi, Yuki Onna, Jami, Kappa, Kurotabou, and Aotabou.

Takashi Natsume

Like his grandmother, Natsume Reiko, Takashi has the ability to see spirits. He has inherited the Book of Friends, a book of names that no one but Reiko, Takashi, and other spirits can read. Because of Takashi's strong resemblance to Reiko, he is often mistaken for her, causing spirits who hate Reiko to chase him constantly. He has decided to dissolve the Book by giving all the names back to their owners. He is accompanied by the spirit Madara, nicknamed "Nyanko-Sensei" because of the spirit's feline appearance. Takashi has promised that he would pass the book on to Madara when he died.

Madara

A mysterious ayakashi that was sealed in a shrine until he was accidentally released by Natsume Takashi. Since Madara was trapped in a material form for so long, he ordinarily takes on the shape of a maneki neko (lucky cat), leading Natsume to nickname him Nyanko-sensei. In this form, other people can see him.
He is a powerful ayakashi, who protects Natsume from others and teaches him spells on occasion, in return for Natsume's promise to give him the Book of Friends when he dies. As the story progresses, Madara takes a liking to Takashi.

Jiraiya

Info:
Introduced in the first half of the manga, Jiraiya appears as a perverted old man whom the lead character, Naruto Uzumaki, refers to as "Ero-Sennin" (エロ仙人 or "perverted sage"). It is established that he was a student of the Hidden Leaf Village's Third Hokage, and one of the Three Legendary Sannin shinobi, along with Orochimaru and Lady Tsunade.

Abilities:
Jiraiya is known as the "Toad Sage" (蝦蟇仙人). Having been trained by toads to utilize their secret arts, Jiraiya can summon them to his side as allies during battle and if need be, he can also summon parts of toads, e.g. blanketing an area with a toad's esophagus to immobilize and trap an opponent.
In the second half of the series, Jiraiya is shown to possess a number of toad-based abilities not wholly reliant on summoning. Most prominent of these is being able to enter the "Sage Mode" (仙人モード), a transformation that drastically increases his physical abilities and the strength of his attacks.
