Hanatarō Yamada (山田 花太郎, Yamada Hanatarō) is the 7th Seated officer of the Gotei 13's 4th Division, where he is also the leader of the 14th Advanced Relief Team. Hanatarō is very timid and nervous. His black hair is mid length and his bangs frame his face. Hanatarō also bears a close resemblance to Rin Tsubokura. He tends to be clumsy and easily duped. Hanatarō's kind nature and nervousness results in him becoming the victim of many bullies and practical jokes. In fact, he states that he is "the most bullied kid in the world." Hanatarō's birthday is on the same day as Keigo Asano's, April 1, April Fools' Day. People spend the whole day tricking him as a result. According to Kon, he has a "boring but somehow popular with the ladies" look. Despite Hanatarō's cowardly exterior, he is shown to be very bold at times. After hearing Rukia Kuchiki's story, he attempts to rescue her, despite her recent criminal record and noble heritage. After meeting Rukia's friend, Ichigo Kurosaki, Hanatarō decides to help Ichigo save Rukia, knowing that if he were to be caught he would be imprisoned for betrayal. After watching Ichigo fight for what he believes in, Hanatarō decides that he, too, wants to start playing a more important role rather than watching from the sidelines, and begins to carry his Zanpakutō with him. Hanatarō states, when he introduces himself, that his name is relatively easy to remember, though Ichigo says otherwise, stating that if his name was Hanako (a girl's name) or Tarō (a boy's name) it would be easy. The name Hanatarō, according to Ichigo, is just confusing. Because the 4th Division's combat ability is very poor compared to the other divisions, they are often assigned to perform the chores of cleaning in Seireitei, such as sweeping the sewers and jail cells. Because of this, Hanatarō and other members of the 4th Division know the sewer system and other esoteric passageways very well and have access to the keys of most buildings.

Hachigen Ushōda (有昭田 鉢玄, Ushōda Hachigen) is a Vizard, formerly the lieutenant of the Kidō Corps under Tessai Tsukabishi. He is usually referred to as Hachi (ハッチ; sometimes translated as "Hutch"). Despite his unusual size, Hachi is actually a very kind and gentle man, quite subservient to the more authoritative members of the Vizard and quite often obeys their commands, though with some quiet complaints. He enjoys the company of the equally kind-hearted Orihime Inoue, and is shown to be a very polite person, referring to Soifon as "Captain Soifon", though he had no need to address her as such, as he is neither her subordinate, nor a member of the Gotei 13. Hachi is also shown to be very intellectual and observant during his battles, such as his fight with segunda Espada Baraggan Luisenbarn, where he uses Baraggan's aging powers against him.

Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez (グリムジョー・ジャガージャック, Gurimujō Jagājakku), originally romanized as Grimmjow Jeagerjaques or Jaegerjaques, is a prominent member in the Aizen-affiliated army of Arrancar, and the sexta (6th) Espada. He is often considered to be Ichigo Kurosaki's rival in terms of personality, and is one of the series' central antagonists. Grimmjow appears to be a laid-back and irreverent individual at first glance, but this scruffy exterior hides a brutal, impulsive, excessively-violent personality and a lethally-short temper. Grimmjow is blunt, sarcastic, and quite sadistic, revealing a psychotic grin whenever he becomes excited, much like Kenpachi Zaraki or Hollow Ichigo. He displays little respect for authority and says whatever is on his mind, regardless of whether or not it is appropriate. This attitude leads to conflicts with Kaname Tōsen, who holds Grimmjow in the same low regard as he did with Kenpachi Zaraki. He also has conflicts with Ulquiorra Cifer, the 4th Espada, usually because Ulquiorra interrupts his battles or otherwise clashes with Grimmjow's ideals, and confidently believes Ulquiorra's powers to be weaker than his, a point he is eager to prove. He develops an additional grudge against Ichigo Kurosaki for wounding him during their first and second fights, and is eager to return the favor. He intentionally kept the large scar on his chest from their first battle as a reminder of this. Grimmjow is also infuriated by Ichigo's belief that he can defeat him regardless of how badly he is injured, which Grimmjow sees as Ichigo looking down on him. Grimmjow is a very rude and disrespectful character. He uses none of the honorifics in the Japanese language, except when addressing Aizen (though he is quick to discard the formality when Aizen is not around), and refers to Orihime as woman in conversation. However, he does have some form of a code of honor, as he is unwilling to fight an injured Ichigo, bringing Orihime to heal him beforehand so that their battle will be a fair one, though he also wants to defeat Ichigo when he is at full strength. He also saves Orihime from Loly and Menoly, who were beating her up, to repay the debt of restoring his arm, though he immediately demands another favor afterwards. Despite his aggression and obvious bloodlust in battle, he possesses a feral cunning and has a knack for quickly exploiting any opening his opponent reveals.

Gō Koga (古賀 剛, Koga Gō) is an anime-only character in the Bount arc. He is a Bount, and the one closest to Jin Kariya. Despite his size, this man is kind. When he took Cain in, he tried to protect the young man from his doll, but failed. Ever since, he refuses to hurt children, which is why he turned against Kariya. After realizing he was the only Bount left, he apologized for their harsh actions.

Ggio Vega (ジオ・ヴェガ, Jio Vega) is an Arrancar in Sōsuke Aizen's army and one of Baraggan Luisenbarn's six Fracción. Ggio shares a similar attitude to Captain Soifon, his opponent during the battle over the fake Karakura Town; both are calm, loyal, firm, and antagonistic toward their subordinates, however, Ggio is cocky, sarcastic and somewhat boastful. Like his fellow Fracción, he holds his master in high regard, and refers to him as "his majesty". However, he has little care for any of the other Fracción on his side, matching the relationship of Soifon to her lieutenant Marechiyo Ōmaeda. During battle, he tends to taunt his opponents by telling them what they should have done, then attacking them viciously. He does not like to be underestimated, and becomes greatly annoyed once he is.

Ganju Shiba (志波 岩鷲, Shiba Ganju) is an outrageous figure from Soul Society. He is the youngest member of the noble Shiba Family, and one of the two only remaining members. Ganju possesses a hot temper, a strong ego and a deep hatred for Shinigami. This grudge is slow to dissipate even after he learns the truth of the incident. Though he always acts tough, he has shown that he also has a softer side, easily being cowed by his older sister Kūkaku, (although he does show the ability to stand up to her) and later develops an understanding to Ichigo Kurosaki with a relationship similar to what Ichigo has with Renji Abarai. The fact that he is not particularly attractive is a running joke, and rather than deny this fact, he tends to talk around the subject, especially when Yumichika Ayasegawa makes note of it. Ganju has been shown to be forgetful, like in the Bount arc he was sent to the world of the living by his sister to collect information on the situation, he was quickly and easily side tracked when he got a job as a convenient store clerk for the convenience store Hanatarō was working in, and later just as quickly forgot about the job and had to rush back in the middle of training to work his shift.

Don Kanonji (ドン・観音寺, Don Kanonji), real name Misaomaru Kanonji (観音寺 ミサオ丸, Kanonji Misaomaru), is a popular spirit medium who hosts a television show called Journey to Bust Ghosts on Hallowed Ground, often referred to simply as Ghost Bust. Kanonji is well meaning and genuinely tries to be the hero, refusing to run away because, as he explains to Ichigo, that he cannot run away because of his fame, because 1 in every 4 people watch his show, and little children learn lessons of courage. He is deeply mortified when he learns that the method he used to rid ghosts, thinking he was sending spirits to heaven, actually caused those spirits to become Hollows. His trademark pose is to cross both arms over his chest and laugh "BOHAHAHAHA!!" boisterously and deeply, as does his fans. His catch phrase is "Smells like bad spirits!" He also uses other phrases, "Spirits are always with you!!" and the like. He also introduces himself as "The New Century's Premier Spiritualist". His knowledge of Hollow and Shinigami has been steadily increasing following his encounter with Ichigo. Kanonji likes to watch Kabuki plays and designs his own clothes. He likes gorgonzola gnocchi and has a knack for quickly separating the top and bottom halves of Apollo chocolates while eating them.

Cirucci Sanderwicci (チルッチ・サンダーウィッチ, Chiruchi Sandāwicchi), sometimes incorrectly romanized as Cirucci Thunderwitch, is the 105th Arrancar in Sōsuke Aizen's army. She is the second Privaron Espada shown, and the only known female of the group. In terms of personality, Cirucci seems rather rude, cocky, blunt, and slightly sadistic. However, she has no qualms about pointing out when others have similar traits, as she does to Uryū Ishida. She gets quite bothered if an enemy attacks her while she is talking. She is also very determined, willing to go through any means necessary to defeat her opponents.

Chōjirō Sasakibe (雀部 長次郎, Sasakibe Chōjirō) is the lieutenant of the 1st Division, under the command of Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. It is revealed that English society, which he saw during missions in the real world, has had a big impact on him. As such he has a habit of making tea with his own personally grown black tea leaves, sometimes with drastic results, such as blowing up a tower by trying to turn on a boiling machine. His adoration of Western culture is to such degree that he only likes Western cuisine and dislikes Japanese cuisine, this is a noticeable difference between him and his captain, (Though, surprisingly, he represents the Tea Ceremony Club on occasion, which more reflects following his captain's command than his own Western style.) His jinbaori, which he made himself, is also meant to give him a more Western look. He passes his free time by endeavoring to adopt more aspects of Western culture.

Charlotte Cuuhlhourne (シャルロッテ・クールホーン, Sharurotte Kūruhōn) is an Arrancar in Sōsuke Aizen's army and one of Baraggan Luisenbarn's six Fracción. Cuuhlhourne believes that beauty is derived from a person's heart and personality, leading the first part of his battle with Yumichika Ayasegawa to be little more than the two shouting insults at each other. He is very vain and flamboyant, believing himself to be the "most beautiful being in all creation" and refers to himself as "princess." Like his fellow Fracción, he holds his master, Baraggan, in high regard and refers to him as "his majesty." Cuuhlhourne has the odd habit of giving his attacks very long names in which he describes them in high regard to himself and the attack (at one point in the anime, he actually bites his tongue in an attempt to announce one due to its length), believing himself to be talented at naming things. He holds his hair in great regard, only releasing his Zanpakutō when Yumichika ruined it. Despite this, just before his death, he shows respect toward Yumichika for hiding his Zanpakutō's true power even though he was cornered during his fight, something that Baraggan's other five Fracción never gave to their respective opponents.
