Mukuro Rokudo

Mukuro Rokudo (六道 骸, Rokudo Mukuro) is one of the main characters of Reborn! and is the first season's primary villain. Although, he later became the Guardian of Mist.
Portrayed as the series' first primary antagonist, Mukuro Rokudo is introduced as a 15-year-old Mafia criminal wearing a Kokuyo school uniform with a so called "pineapple" hairstyle. He is the leader of the Kokuyo Gang, which consists of heinous criminals who have recently escaped from Prison. However, later on in the series, he takes on a more supportive role for the series' main characters, becoming somewhat of an ally rather than an enemy. Although, he prefers to not consider himself as one of their allies and tries to avoid any involvement with Mafia organization.

Ryohei Sasagawa

Ryohei Sasagawa (笹川 了平, Sasagawa Ryōhei) is Kyoko's older brother who is obsessed with boxing. His motto is to live "to the extreme!", which he applies to everything he does. As such, he prefers to fight his opponents head on, seeing any disadvantage as a chance to improve his fighting skills. He even barged into a zoo, expecting to fight a bear, but ended up fighting a lion instead. Every time he sees Tsuna and his friends doing something strange, he gets fired up and always wants to be a part of it. Due to Ryohei's enthusiasm, he often rushes into things without fully evaluating the situation, which often ends in his injury. He also has a short memory and forgets many important details, something his adult self solved by writing memos. Ryohei is always hiding the truth of what he is doing from Kyoko due to an incident that happened when they were still in primary school. Some high school students who did not like Ryohei used Kyoko to lure him into a trap. In his attempt to rescue her, he suffered severe injuries, which resulted in the scar on his left temple. Kyoko still feels responsible for this incident, though she accepts that he needs to fight. He is visibly concerned for Kyoko's safety, so he covers up his actual life-or-death battles with the cover story of "Sumo matches."

Shouichi Irie

In the Past, Shoichi Irie is shown as a 15 year old boy who happens to meet Tsuna and his Family. Because Lambo was bazooka-ed into Shoichi's Family apartment, the Bovino Famiglia sends him a package, excusing Lambo for any annoyance that he caused. Not much is shown of him in the Past, but in the Future, Shoichi was shown to be in close contact with Byakuran, being watched everywhere he went. He also was at first shown to be a fearful leader as the holder of the Sun Mare Ring. He was the reason why Tsuna, Lal, Gokudera, Yamamoto, and Future Ryohei went to the Melone Base so that they could take him out. After the Base was destroyed along with the cameras, Shoichi told Tsuna and the gang, which now included Chrome, Kusakabe, Lambo, I-Pin, and Hibari, that he was on their side, and that this was a setup by Future Tsuna along with Future Hibari. Later, he was found out to be a Fake Ring Holder by Byakuran. In the anime, he is now a part of the Vongola Famiglia in helping to destroy Byakuran. In the manga, it's currently unknown what Past Shoichi is up to.

Superbi Squalo

Superbi Squalo (スペルビ スクアーロ, Superubi Sukuāro) is an assassin and the Second-in-Command of Varia, the Vongola Family's Independent Assassination Squad. His most notable feature is his long silver hair, which he keeps long to show his dedication to his boss, Xanxus, and refuses to cut it until Xanxus replaces Tsunayoshi Sawada as the 10th Vongola boss. He is often seen wearing his Varia uniform. He is characterized by his loud personality, and has a tendency to shout "VOOOI!!!" (the Italian version of the plural "you") to vent his frustration. Squalo, as revealed in the Rain Ring Battle against Takeshi Yamamoto, cut off his left hand and replaced it with a mechanized sword, which was done so he could better relate to the Sword Emperor, Tyr, who also happened to be the previous Boss of the Varia and fought without a left hand. Squalo seems to be quite perceptive, seeing right through Genkishi's Mist Illusions when Genkishi tried to fake a loss and even seeing through Chrome Dokuro's skilled illusion of Yamamoto, which Mammon mentions that only real experts could see through.

Tsunayoshi Sawada

Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada (沢田 綱, Sawada Tsunayoshi) is the protagonist of Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Although at first a cowardly and useless junior high student, Tsuna is suddenly thrust into the role of the Tenth Generation Boss of the Vongola Famiglia , the most prominent Mafia Family in the underground, forcing him to gather his own Family to eventually battle for the survival of the world. His character development from a weak individual who easily gives up to a leader dedicated to and willing to fight for the protection of his friends and Family is a critical element of the series. Although he himself does not wish to have anything to do with the Mafia, he nevertheless finds himself thrust into numerous battles, so far involving escaped Mafia exiles, a rival group of elite assassins within the Vongola, and, eventually, 10 Years in the Future, the Millefiore Family, a rival Family in the process of eliminating the Vongola which ended with Tsuna defeating the rival family's leader, Byakuran.

As the protagonist of the series, Tsuna appears in all the series' video games, as well as special appearances in both Shonen Jump compilation games, Jump Super Stars and Jump Ultimate Stars. He also appears in the Hidden Bullet light novels, albeit in a more minor role. On July 8, 2008, Pony Canyon released a character CD containing media from both his and Reborn's voice actors.

Viper (Mammon)

Viper is the holder of the Indigo Pacifier. He is a member of the elite Vongola assassination team, the Varia, under the name Mammon (マーモン). Known as the Arcobaleno's best spellcaster,[1] Viper has the ability to cast illusions, as well as being able to locate any person by sneezing into a piece of paper (he carries a roll of paper with him); the spit or mucus that sticks to the paper shows a map leading to the desired person.[2] Other than for the exception of the Arcobaleno trials, Viper only works for money and is therefore represented as the sin of greed in Varia. He also has a black frog named Fantasma that lies on top of his head. By turning into a yellow ouroboros (a snake devouring it's own tail that is also an alchemist's symbol) into a "halo" above him, Fantasma can give Mammon the ability to fly in combat.[3] He claims to have been trying to break the Arcobaleno curse, and had sealed his pacifier so that other Arcobaleno cannot sense him with the Mammon Chain, which also seals the power of Rings and Boxes and such.[1] The Chain is replaced by the Vongola by the cap that conceals the Rings' powers the same way as the Chains.

Xanxus

Xanxus (ザンザス, Zanzasu) is the current Leader of the Varia, Vongola IX's adopted son, and the main antagonist of the Varia Arc. He was born into poverty with just his mentally ill mother. His mother discovered his Dying Will Flame when he was very young and brought him to Vongola IX. When she and Xanxus confronted the 9th, he took Xanxus and placed his scarf around him, agreeing that he was indeed his son even though he had never seen this woman nor her son before. During the Varia Arc, he and Tsuna battle for the Sky Vongola Ring and the position of the 10th Vongola Boss. Later, in the Future Arc, he remains the leader of the Varia and leads a raid against the Millefiore, taking their Headquarters. He battles against one of the Fake Funeral Wreaths as well and wins, showing that he has grown much stronger in the Future.

Urd

Urd is the older sister to Goddess first class
Belldandy, and Goddess second class Skuld from the "Ah My Goddess" series and manga. Urd is a second class goddess and also half demon; she shares the same father as Belldandy, but her mother is a upper level demon.
