	Ayumi Murai She is seen in the effects of the spell of lust having sex in the hallway. In the original Bible Black game Minase does a spell ( or curse depending on how you look at it ) to help Murai get a guy to fall in love with her. The problem was he already had a girl friend and Minase uses the Bible Black to get what she wants, only to come back later and ask Minase to "Make him last longer in bed".

	Takashi Komuro Takashi Komuro (小室孝，Komuro Takashi) is the main protagonist of Highschool of the Dead and the leader of the main group of survivors. He used a baseball bat for a while, then recovers a Smith & Wesson Model 37 handgun from a dead cop, and later finds a Ithaca 37 shotgun. Takashi later throws away the Ithaca 37 for a Benelli M4 Super 90 that he finds at the police station. A 17 year old high school second-year, Takashi is in the same class as Rei Miyamoto whom he has been friends with since childhood. He loved her ever since she made a childhood promise to marry him when they were older. However it was his hesitance and ignorance about her feelings that caused tension in their friendship which led to her starting to date his friend Hisashi. He was one of the first people to notice that something was wrong in the school and quickly took action to escape with his friends. His relationship with Rei was shaken further when he was forced to kill her boyfriend after he was bitten and turned into a zombie. Soon afterwards, their relationship was amended. His resolve to protect Rei and everyone else earns him respect despite his own feelings of inadequacy. He is often brash and risks his life to save someone on a whim. Like Saeko, Takashi confesses that he's found an exhilaration in killing "them". Later in the story Takashi develops feelings for Saeko Busujima and has shown to become very close to her. Interestingly, though Takashi has known Saya Takagi presumably the same amount of time that he has known Rei, he has not shown romantic feelings for Saya.

	Shizuka Marikawa Shizuka Marikawa (鞠川静香, Marikawa Shizuka) is one of the main characters in Highschool of the Dead and is the only adult in the group. Shizuka's main contributions to the group are her medical skills and extensive medical knowledge. She also serves as the adult figure and takes care of Alice Maresato and the others whenever she is needed to do so. The school nurse at Fujimi High School, she is rather ditsy as compared to the rest of girls in the group. Her large bust size is often used as a comical element in the story. A 26 year old bachelorette she lives with Rika Minami, a top sniper of Japan's Special Assault Team. Her home was used as a safe haven for the group once they escaped the high school. As a nurse she is responsible for the health and care of everyone in the group and is efficient at doing so. Despite being the only adult in the group, she is emotionally fragile and doesn't know what will become of her life since the outbreak started. Like the rest of the main characters, Shizuka worries that she will never see her family or friends again. Even though she's emotionally fragile, Shizuka feels a responsibility to "chaperone" the kids. As a nurse and the only adult in the group, she is responsible for the health of everyone in the group. Although she is still studying to be a full-fledged doctor, Shizuka has shown incredible medical knowledge. She was even able to bring Kohta Hirano to his senses after he was forced to kill Asami Nakaoka.

	Saya Takagi Saya Takagi (高城沙耶, Takagi Saya?)is one of the main characters in Highschool of the Dead. Saya is a genius, and her high level of intellect is her major contribution to the group, though it often causes her to be stubborn and arrogant. She usually stays out of combat, preferring to think of strategies to help the others fight. In the anime, Saya is voiced by Eri Kitamura. Saya first made her escape with fellow classmate Kohta Hirano. She is the daughter of an influential Uyoku dantai politician and her family is deeply involved in Japan's politics. A self-proclaimed genius, Saya's knowledge and deductive capabilities have allowed the group to escape from harm on multiple occasions. She was the first to conclude that "they" respond only to sound. Despite coming from a prestigious family, she despises her parents whom she thought had given up on her in the crisis. It was before their escape from the mansion that she managed to make up with her parents. Other than Rei, she is the only one who has a history with Takashi Komuro since they were children and is hinted to having deeper feelings for him, though she denies this. Slightly self-conscious, she detests the fact that people neither address her by her first name nor look her in the eyes while speaking. The only exception to this is Kohta, with whom she has a strange friendship. Saya has grown very attached to Alice and acts like a mother figure during the crisis. She does her best to keep Alice's innocence intact and will severely scold anyone who would dare attempt to tarnish that to any degree.

	Saeko Busujima Saeko Busujima (毒島冴子, Busujima Saeko) is one of the main characters in Highschool of the Dead. She is a student at Fujimi High School and a member of the survivor group led by Takashi Komuro. In the group, Saeko is considered the most reliable of all fighters, and everyone can count on her combat skills to pull them through a tough spot if need be. Like Rei, Saeko is an athletic fighter and talented combat specialist who's forte is in melee battles and can be counted on amongst the many reasons why the protagonists have managed to survive as far as they have. At the beginning of the series, she used a wooden bokken (wooden sword) that she could use very well to fight "them", but she was later given a sword by Souichiro Takagi to fight "them" with. Saeko is a third-year in high school and president of Fujimi High School's kendo club. She is extremely skilled with a sword and close combat. Not much is known about her family except that her father had traveled abroad on a self-defense conference before the advent of the Outbreak. It is also mentioned in the manga that the Busujima family has been protecting the throne for ages, therefore all Busujima members are skilled in combat.

	Rei Miyamoto Rei Miyamoto (宮本麗, Miyamoto Rei) is a classmate and childhood friend of Takashi Komuro, and they've known each other since kindergarten. When they were little, she promised that one day she would marry him. Despite liking Takashi, their relationship was at odds at the beginning of the story due to his indecisiveness. It was then that she started dating one of his friends, Hisashi Igou, since Takashi wouldn't make a move. As the story progressed, they ended up reconciling their relationship. She doesn't find it above herself to reprimand Takashi for acting carelessly. She worries about his well-being yet admits that his selfless nature is a reason why she fell in love with him. Headstrong and reliable, Rei has proven to be a skilled combatant and strong asset to the group due to her being in the Sojutsu Club. She uses a spear made from a broom stick, but later on she uses a M1A1 Rifle with a bayonet attached. Rei Miyamoto is a 17 year old high school second-year. Originally, she was supposed to be a third-year, but a teacher by the name of Koichi Shido had Rei held back a year. Rei's father, a police detective, was conducting an investigation on Mr. Shido's father, a politician. Shido got Rei held back as a warning to her father to stop the investigation of his father. As a member of the Sojutsu club, she is very skilled with a spear. At the start of the series, she was dating Hisashi, which was both Takashi's and her childhood friend. She started out having a bad friendship with Takashi, but their relationship is later amended. She has had a deep intimate feeling towards Takashi since they were children, and they even pinky promised to get married when they grow up. Rei gets immensely jealous when other pretty girls such as Saeko Busujima get close to Takashi. She is a valuable member to the group as she is one of their top fighters.

	Kouta Hirano Kohta Hirano (平野コータ, Hirano Kōta) is one of the main characters in Highschool of the Dead. Kohta is an excellent marksman with many different types of guns, but he usually uses the AR-10 Rifle which has been remodelled in the style of a Knight's SR-25 Sniper Rifle. He also collects various weapons and ammunition for the group during their travels. In the anime, Kohta is voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama. A 16 year old high school junior who was often bullied at school, Kohta is a gun otaku (enthusiast) and knows the ins and outs of firearms and any military-related equipment that the group may comes across. His skills as a marksman have proven to be an valuable asset to keeping everyone alive. He usually doesn't play a major role in the group's decisions and stays out of discussions, but in combat situations, he becomes much more involved with the others and takes on the role of the group's backbone. He is a vital part of the group's fighting abilities, so much so that Takashi Komuro once noted that if Kohta died, the group would all be dead in a single day.

	Kagawa Kenko 身長：151cm　スリーサイズ：B78/ W56/ H79 つい最近まで研修生だった新人声優。父親がフィンランド人で、生まれたのもフィンランドという珍しいハーフ。離婚するまでは父方の名字のカタヤイネンだったが、今は名字だけ母方の歌川に戻った。日本人風の名前だが、実はフィンランドの名前。性格は明るく正直だが少し子供っぽく、共演者から「お前はアホだなぁ」とバカにされることが多い。なんとか格好だけでも大人っぽくしようしているが、今のところ努力が身を結んだことはない。千葉に憧れるあまり現在、主人公の所有するマンションへと引っ越そうとしている。母親は鳩二塾所属、兄は菅プロ所属の声優という声優一家。「ええ〜、ボク…じゃない。わたしは好きじゃないですけどォ〜」

	Mamiko Chiba 身長：163cm　スリーサイズ：B82/ W58/ H83 運悪く、主人公の隣の部屋へ越してきてしまった美人声優。主人公を筆頭とするエロゲレビューグループにおいて、去年最高のエロゲーと認定されたゲームのヒロイン役に名前を変えて声を当てていたところ、主人公に気付かれ、目を付けられてしまう。性格はきわめて真面目でおとなしく、騙されやすい。もともと役者を目指して演技の勉強を始めたため、オタク文化には詳しくない一般人。当然アダルトゲームにも詳しくなく、アダルトの芝居の練度も低い。「そ、そんな…わたし、そんなことできません…っ！」
