Kenpachi is amazingly strong as a fighter ... but the things Ed has faced are also pretty epic. Kenpachi fights with raw force ... whereas Ed fights with his mind, and alchemy. I think I'll give the edge to Ed ... he has too many strategies available to defeat Kenpachi. Plus his skill at escaping death is 2nd to none xD (view post)

In my opinion he is an awesome character because he has a clear objective and a purpose to accomplish this goal, he develops a friendship relation with his subordinates, he is really smart finding good solutions to problems not only using the strength and he helps others when they are in problems and even making personal sacrificies when the moment arrives. I actually liked both of them quite a lot, at first I disliked Erica but she felt a lot better near the end and Liliana was great all the way.

both lol, I know there are fantards that defend these series with their life and others that hate both of them simply because they are popular and started watching the first few episodes with an already biased opinion beforehand.

That saying I had moments I hated both of these series but I must say that was mainly during fillers so I just decided to stop watching fillers completely.
Ignoring the filler parts I've been entertained by both of these anime series for many years now so ye neither of them are in my top 3 but atleast both of them are top 10 material ( entertainment wise ).

They are both known for being great at taking hits, and personally I've seen Ippo tank more heavy hits than Kenichi, however Boxing really has limits and Kenichi seems to have some serious low kicks.

There are a lot of speculations about Madara's actual goals and how they are not the same as Tobi's however after Lelouch actually defeated Charles he really started working towards becoming the focus of evil in the world and that was eventually achieved after beating schneizel and claiming the world was his. Seeing how he did that just to bring peace to the world with his own death ( as the enemy of the world ) is in my opinion the ultimate sacrifice and the results were outstanding. So ye at first he just wanted revenge against his father and Britannia but after that his plan for world peace was simply worked out great.

oh btw if after that longggg post it wasn't clear yet I voted Lelouch, even if Madara has actual good intentions behind his actions ( which only the future can tell ) I still think it can not come close to Lelouch.

Shishio had a huge information advantage over Kenshin due to spamming henchman at him all the time and remember that Kenshin had already fought a bunch of people before fighting Shishio on the same day.

So you wanted her to manipulate everyone since the start of the story which also caused Kyousuke to stop trying hard at anything and basically made him lose most of his chances for the future ( he was the fastest runner of the school by far and succeeded at studying aswell before Manami convinced him when he was at a weak moment that he should just give up on everything. I am disgusted by her character, purely disgusted. I realise not all of her disgusting actions were shown in the anime so that might be a reason you still like her but I really recommend you to read through the light novel volumes aswell since even though I love the anime a lot of the original story was skipped
