So, from all the events in the second season, I guess I could sum up Kuroneko as a "good character in the wrong anime". She'd look way better being friends with Kobato and Sena in Haganai than having to deal with Oreimo characters' stupid drama. I still have high hopes for her in the Oreimo VN. I know it has a bit modified plot, but that's EXACTLY why I have high hopes. Because, honestly, Oreimo anime(and apparently LN) plot is plain horrible, only the characters are good. (view post)

In all honesty the problem with Seirei is that even in the light novel the first part of the story is simply boring. It feels like a school romance/comedy with an annoying redhead tsundere and a bunch of other nicer heroines.
It is indeed a problem because that is all that the first arc offers, it's the introduction arc of the characters and them getting to know each other.
All the arcs after the first one, and yes I mean all of em! Are insanely good with intense action, deep plot and good villains. However since the anime only wanted a 12 episode show we never even got to the main story and are stuck in the school comedy that is not even that funny.

So yeah, I'd still recommend season 1 just for an entertaining yet not super interesting watch with cute girls in it. However if you really want to taste the awesomeness you will have to either read the light novel or hope for a season 2 since all hell breaks loose quite shortly after where the anime ended. I can understand your opinion and I respect it. It's a bit of a shame, since it continues more with the backstories and development, but ok. Since you actually gace it a chance beyong episode 1, there's no problem.
It's definitely not for everyone, but it still is better than the average anime of the same genre.
Sad how many people assumed it was going to be a generic fanservice anime with nothing interesting.

Blade Dance is so much better in your average Ecchi/Harem anime, because is has development, backstories, a plot that doesn't suck, and comedy not solely focused on mindless fanservice.

Hm. Despite all the, well, deaths, Death Note is a great anime. It's one of the ones that really drew me in. After I'd finished watching it, I wished it could go on and I found myself wanting to watch it over and over. You'd have to watch it a couple of times to understand exactly what happens, but.

Not canon. Himaruya hasn't come up with any actual designs for the rest of the UK (Scotland, Wales, N. Ireland) (In fact, THIS (http://www.hetarchive.net/characters/scotland.jpg) is probably the closest we'll ever get to an actual design of SCOTLAND. Himaruya hasn't even mentioned Northern Ireland much when in comparison to the rest). This image is just a fanmade design, made by someone who has a tendency to use Himaruya's style when making up OCs for said fandom.

I personally stand behind the anime trying to make Pitou more feminine with the extra curves/voice. However the manga is just too vague to call her either male or female since there have been hints to both and never a clear answer from the author. In my mind I'd like to call Pitou a girl and will continue to do so but realistically speaking it's just unknown since even the manga is very inconsistent in the hints they give towards her/him/it.

I do however completely agree that the author of HxH has that nasty habit you spoke off, first the trolled me with Kurapika and later on with the little brother of Killua that joined the chimera ants but looked so ridiculously much like a female. xD (view post)
